I consider this a bit of a blended environment – my first foray into adding a personal piece to my professional space on the web.  I am curious to see where this will go and to learn something about myself along the way.  I know this site will stretch my thinking, since I tend to keep clear boundaries between my profession and my personal life.

However, I have spent many hours encouraging adult parents and friends to get online and be positive role models and leaders in this environment.  So often I hear fear and worry from adults about ‘what our kids are doing online’ and to me, one of the best ways to guide and lead our children is to develop our own presence in a world that is so familiar to our children.
